Nebraska!!

This weekend we followed the Hokies to Nebraska! We began our trip in Omaha with a drive along the Riverwalk, the spot of the Lewis and Clark landing on the Missouri river. Next, we drove down to see Rosenblatt Standium which is the home of the College World Series. Finally, we made the drive down to Lincoln where we toured the campus, town, and stadium. Of course, we had Omaha Steaks for lunch and then went to see Nebraska's Hall of Champions which included the "Heisman Room". Then, at last, it was gametime! Our Hokies beat the Huskers 35-30. We have a closing date! If all goes according to plan, we should be closing on our new home on May 9th!

The house has been drywalled from top to bottom. Right on schedule. Our deck should be going on soon.

Today was our "pre-drywall meeting". All of the utilities are in. We are expecting to have insulation tomorrow and to start drywall on Friday. Moving right along...

Shingles, Plumbing, Heating, and Stairs

Well, lots of changes this week. Shingles are now covering our roof. We have showers and a bath tub. The fireplace has been installed. The stairs are in. The upstairs HVAC had been laid out. Most of the plumbing is in, including one of my favorite features...the icemaker hookup. The picture of Tim is when he tried to claim his space in the bedroom closet.
